European Trade Mark Attorney

During my first degree in metallurgy and the science of materials at the University of Oxford, I developed in interest in biomedical materials, and stayed on at St. Catherine's College to carry out research into the development of a synthetic bone substitute. I started work as a trainee patent and trade mark attorney at Forresters after obtaining my doctorate in 1999, and qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2003, and as a Registered Trade Mark Agent in 2006.

In my patent work, I specialise in materials science and mechanical engineering inventions, particularly relating to automotive or oil field applications. I also provide advice on trade mark and design matters to a wide range of clients selling anything from horse rugs to alcopops.

Despite my work with suppliers to many of Europe's leading car manufacturers, I take some pride in the fact that I own the smallest car in our car park, still have a bus pass, and cycle to work when the weather is kind.
